San Ramon Celebrates the Wind
Kites are one of the main attractions of the event. National kite flying champions will present professional Kite Flying Demonstrations on both days from 10am to 5pm on the Lucky A's Ballfield (first field behind the skatepark). Watch teams of kite flyers and individuals perform their amazing tricks. Bring a blanket or some chairs and enjoy the day!
The Art & Wind Festivals most popular attraction! Visit the Terrace Room inside the San Ramon Community Center to make your own kite. Decorate your kite and then take it outside onto one of the many fields in Central Park and make it fly! This activity is free thanks to our proud partnership with Whole Foods Market.
West Coast Falconry will have a live raptor experience for festival attendees in the Rose Garden. This program includes live raptors perched out on display or on glove with highly trained educators. Participants can ask questions, take photos, or just relax and watch the raptors. Enjoy opportunities for one-on-one learning with raptor specialists. West Coast Falconry will also do a presentation on the KTVU Channel 2 TV 36 Amphitheater Stage on Sunday, May 25 at 12:00pm.
There will be no hot air balloon launch in 2014.
