The After School Enrichment classes are conveniently timed so students can attend immediately after school. Students who are attending an After School Enrichment (ASE) class should go to their ASE class location directly after school.

If your child attends the Growing Room, please send your child directly to the class or have an authorized adult sign the child out and bring them to the class. Some instructors are able to pick–up from the Growing Room by request, please see the individual course descriptions for availability. All instructors will bring children to the Growing Room at the end of class if requested.

narrative essay
Students will learn to write the narrative essay, which focuses on developing a student's ability to write in the first person and to follow a linear narrative structure. Students will write three to five paragraph essay. They also will learn how to plan, outline and revise their essays.

fun with aerospace engineering
Have fun building hands-on projects that fly! Students will engage in projects such as building a Rocket or a Helicopter, and will learn the science behind flight, aerodynamics, and propulsion. Students take home completed projects to show off to parents and siblings! This fun class exposes students to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), the scientific method, planning, prioritization, time management, and organization. Students will gain a better understanding for how things fly and stay afloat in the sky, and will learn how to break down and analyze problems. $35 materials fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class.

This class teaches essentials of Debating. The students learn how to make strong arguments and present argumentative topics. Pre-Pulic Speaking - Building Confidence (PPS 101)
This program teaches young students the essentials of building confidence in public speaking. The participants learn how to stand tall and speak confidently in front of a large group. They begin to understand the concepts and importance of body language, bringing variation in speed and tone. The students learn the concept of public speaking using fun concepts like show and tell, storytelling, and poem recitals among others. mad science - Crazy Chemworks
Use your hands as a real Mad Scientist in this whirlwind class on how a lab works! Students will learn to recognize chemical reactions and mix up a few reactive ingredients for some sensational results. We will explore the pH extremes with our Reaction Tubes in what is sure-to-be a popping experience! Create slime using the Mad Science recipe, and then enter the Slime Olympics to test your polymers. Probe the properties of light and explore some unusual applications of glow-in-the-dark technology! We will melt metal in boiling water and freeze water with just a breath of dry ice!

skyhawks sports academy multiple sport program
The class is designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of sports in one setting. Each week participants will learn the rules and essentials of a different sport through skill-based games and scrimmages. These sports include soccer, baseball, basketball, dodge ball, kick ball . At the end your program your child will come away with new skills, new friends and a passion for sports! All equipment is provided. Participant -to-coach ratio is approximately 10:1.

berkeley chess
Chess is fun and can be learned quickly and easily. Studies have found that chess helps improve test results in reading, science, and math, and produces growth in critical cognitive skills.
