The After School Enrichment classes are conveniently timed so students can attend immediately after school. Students who are attending an After School Enrichment (ASE) class should go to their ASE class location directly after school.

If your child attends Kid’s Country, please send your child directly to the class or have an authorized adult sign out the child and bring him/her to the class. Some instructors are able to pick–up from Kids Country by request, please see the individual course descriptions for availability. All instructors will bring children to Kids Country at the end of class if requested.

Spanish Club (Room F-5)
Give your child the gift of learning a foreign language! Children learn best when having fun and this course has been created having that in mind. Have lots of fun doing hands-on games, songs and interactive activities while learning Spanish. This is everything kids need to start speaking and understand Spanish right away! The Spanish Club for children is led by a native Spanish teacher. Discover new friends and cultures from all around the world. An $8 materials fee is payable to the instructor on the first day of class.

Acrylic Painting

Let’s Make Movies! Special Effects Filmmaking (Multi-Purpose Room)
Explore the world of special effects filmmaking, using green screen technology, in this active hands-on class! With green screen, we’ll superimpose images into the shot or create new backgrounds as you’ve seen in the latest Hollywood blockbusters. Participants will work on creative projects that transport them through the universe, fly through the skies, and appear in a movie scene, the ideas are endless. Everyone will receive a DVD of the class projects. $10 materials fee.

Rainbow Chefs: Now That’s Gross!
Hit number 10 on the Gross-O-Meter making the best tasting treats with the grossest names! Some recipes include: Worms in Mud (chocolate graham crackers for dirt pudding mud and worms made out of marshmallows!), Brain Blood Clot (Brains made out of Jell-O molds with pieces of raspberries and strawberries stuck inside). $24 materials fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Berkeley Chess Classes

The class is designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of sports in one setting. Mad Science: Phenomenal Physics
Gravity... Inertia... Centripetal Force... Who could ever imagine that an introduction to physics could be so much fun? We’ll experience these awesome forces, learn about atoms and molecules and build some cool devices! Use a vortex generator to create air pockets with a punch, and levitate ping-pong balls in defiance of gravity. Learn how combinations of shapes like triangles, cylinders, and arches make sturdy homes, bridges, and skyscrapers.  And then explore the science of flight. Take home something at the end of each class such as a skyhawk plane, silly putty, and a drag racer.
