Camp Staff Biographies
Our camp staff will update their biographies soon. Here is a list of the staff that will be working at Camp Central for the 2013 season:
Alicia Frumenti, Camp Director (Pez)
Summer camp is the greatest time of year, and I am excited to spend another summer with all of my new friends! I am currently a student at Saint Mary's College of California earning a Special Education Teaching Credential, and a Masters in Special Education. This will be my 8th summer working for the City of San Ramon, and my favorite part about camp is making new friends. I love creating new memories, and crafts to help remind me through the school year how much fun summer camp was. I hope that you all make memories with new and old friends!
Adam Vignaroli (Rolo)
I just graduated from San Ramon Valley High School and will be attending University of Michigan in the fall. I can't believe my luck to be able to work all summer with children. I am no stranger to working with kids and running summer camps. Last year I taught Vacation Bible School and ran sports camps for orphans in Uganda. I work regularly at my church nursery and have led summer youth camps at church as well. My favorite hobby is volleyball and I've spent many years play in high school and with a club.
Anastasia Kastanoff (Abba Zabba)
I just graduated from California High School and will be attending DVC for 2 years. I have not decided where I would like to attend after DVC, but I know I will be majoring in Communications. I hope one day I will become a Special Education Teacher and have a classroom of my own. I have a very strong passion for kids and their dreams. This will be my first year at Camp Central and I can’t wait to start! I’m excited to be working here and ready to keep all the memories I will be making. Summer is the best time of year and this camp makes it even better! Summer of 2013 will be one to never forget!
Andrew Moore (Sour Patch)
I attend college at CSU Monterey Bay and am working towards a degree in Technology. I hope to teach high school level tech classes (i.e. Programming, Digital Art, etc.). I am constantly reading and will almost always have a book nearby. I can't wait to see you all this summer, and I know this will be the best summer yet!
Brandon DeLuna (Bertie Botts)
I am a graduate of California High School class of 2013. I plan on attending DVC for two years and transferring to UC Berkeley where I can pursue a major in Mechanical Engineering. I am a very fun outgoing person and I love being active and productive. In my off time you can find me outdoors playing sports like football, soccer, or basketball. I also enjoy being a part of my community and volunteer for events around the city whenever I can. Making people laugh and smile is an everyday goal for me because I don't like to see sad faces. I enjoy being part of a team and have everyone participate because when everyone on a team participates together its make it a whole lot funner. I hope to make camp an enjoyable experience for everyone and make them feel welcome and part of a team!
Emily Lum (Pop Rocks)
This is my first year as a camp counselor and I can't wait to start! When I was younger I used to be a camper and I'm excited to create as many memories with campers like I experienced. I am going to be a junior at Dougherty Valley High School for the 2013-2014 school year. My favorite things to do would be singing, art projects/crafts, enjoying the outdoors, & making new friends. I hope to make this summer fun and enjoyable for everyone!
Jessica Allen (Twizzler)
This will be my 2nd year at Camp Central and I cannot wait to get started. I am going to be a senior at California High School this year. I love music, hiking, snowboarding, and camp! I am very passionate about nature and not wait to be outdoors having fun at camp!
Jessica Gonsalves (Gummy Bear)
I'm 16 years old and I am going to be a Junior next year at Cal High. I play water polo, softball, and I swim. This past year I played on Cal's Varsity water polo team. When I was younger I participated and went to all of the summer camps through the City of San Ramon and loved them! I always wanted to eventually become that camp counselor who I looked up to when I was a little kid. This is my first year working at Camp Central, but I have worked at other day camps in the past summers such as Diablo Girl Scout Day Camp and Vacation Bible School at St. Joan of Arc. I love working with kids and being involved with summer camps! I am so excited to meet all of the campers and have tons of FUN this summer!
Johnny Webb (Gum Drop)
It all started when volunteered at Walker Creek Ranch Outdoor Education School being a “cabin leader” just to get away for a bit from my high school classes, LEGALLY. Spending 5 days 23 hours with the kids, you kind of start getting attached. So I returned 2 more times throughout junior and senior year. After graduating high school I got a job with City of Mill Valley as a camp counselor, I started with elementary school students and then moved up to middle school students. After summer was over I took a break, then enlisted in the U.S. ARMY in December and Left for training May-November 2012. I took ANOTHER break then finally decided it was time to go back to work! I got a job with the City of San Ramon as a rec leader for the after school teen centers, then decided to take on another challenge and work for the preschool creative center, and now working with kids this summer at CAMP CENTRAL! This is my first time at camp central but definitely not the first time I have worked with kids in this way. I love working with kids, I love working with parents, and especially with the public. I hope my experiences will help me in my pursuit for a career in law enforcement which will start at the Alameda Sheriff’s Academy in January 2014.
And I’m happy I found my calling.
Katie Miyakado (Sweet Tart)
This will be my second summer at Camp Central and I’m so excited for camp! I enjoy playing games, doing arts and crafts, and cooking with the kids. When I’m not playing in the sun in the summer time I go to school at Gonzaga University in Washington. I love the outdoors, staying active, and hanging out with friends. I can’t wait for camp to start because it’s the best time of year!
Meghan Perfect (Snickers)
I am going into my third year at Cal Poly where I am majoring in Liberal Studies. I hope to become an elementary school teacher. I love being outdoors and spent a lot of my childhood summers going to camp. My favorite camp activities are making crafts, playing games, and enjoying the sun! When I am not at camp, I like to go to the beach, play soccer, and bake. I am very excited to spend another fun summer at Camp Central!
Melanie Olling (Jolly Rancher)
This is my second year at Camp Central. I am looking forward to making this the best year for your kids. I will be a senior at Monte Vista High School, and I love having fun! I am passionate about music and learning new things. I hope to have a great summer here.
Mia Vaughn (Milky Way)
I'm so excited to start my first summer working at Camp Central, and meet all the great new campers! I have volunteered the past two years at Camp Central, and this will be my first year as an official counselor. I love the camp atmosphere, and working with kids is a huge passion of mine. I love to dance and travel to new and exciting places in my free time. I am going to be a Junior at California High School, and hope to later become a pediatrician. I can't wait to jump right in and have a fantastic summer!
