The Senior Center offers over 30 hours of fitness classes each week which includes such classes as Low Impact Aerobics, Strength Training & Toning, Balance Through Movement and Low Level Total Body Workout. There are also Line Dancing classes for beginners to advanced. For those artistically inclined, there is the Boutique Workshop, and a weekly Painting group. We also have classes in Bridge, Creative Writing, Tai Chi Kuen and much more!

For flexible scheduling, there are also some evening & weekend classes which include Yoga, Zumba Gold and AARP Mature Driving.

AARP Smart Driving Course
AARP offers the standard 8 hour class for both new and renewing students, and a new accelerated 4 1/2 hour class for renewing students only. Those enrolling in the 4 1/2 hour renewal class must provide the date on which the 8 hour class was completed and must have completed the 8-hour course within the past 4 years. Students completing the class will receive a Certificate of Completion, which entitles them to an automobile insurance discount.

Fees for each class are $15 for AARP Members (with proof of membership) and $20 for non-members. Fees are payable, by check only, to the instructor upon arrival to the class. Please Pre-Register at the Senior Center front desk to reserve your space.

Zumba Gold®
Instructor: Carolynne Levers
Zumba Gold® fuses slower Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves, specifically designed for the active, older adult. Participants experience an exciting hour of calorie burning and energizing movements. Latin flavor and international zest make this Zumba Gold® class fun!
Ages 55+   Wednesdays  9:00am – 10:00am  

55+ Gentle Yoga
Instructor: Marcia Conroy
Basic foundations of yoga are taught in a gentle, modified style. The focus includes stretching to promote flexibility in the muscles and joints, various weight-bearing poses to enhance bone health, sequences of poses in a slow rhythm to slightly increase the heart rate, and restorative poses to relieve stress. Please bring a yoga mat.

55+ Yoga for Health
Instructor: Michiyo Ambrosius
Gentle yoga suited for beginners as well as continuing students. Various yoga postures are modified for seniors to develop strength, flexibility and balance. Includes breath work and meditation to explore inner spiritual self.  Teachings are based on the instructor’s spontaneous remission experience from cancer.  Yoga mat required. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.

The Senior Center Foundation sponsors the Computer Lab for seniors to use. A 50 cents per half-hour fee is requested. The money helps with the upkeep of these computers.

Have a computer question? Want to know how to do tasks with your computer on the Internet?
Try our Docents! Computer Docent appointments are available at a variety of different times each week. Docents are volunteers who can help seniors with computer questions and problems that they may be having. Appointments can be made at the Senior Center front desk for 60-minute time slots. See the schedule below for docent availability:

Mondays, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Tuesdays, 1:00 - 3:00pm
Thursdays, 9:30 - 11:30am
Thursdays, 1:00 - 3:00pm

$3(R)/$4(N) per appointment. Additional donations accepted!!
Please Note: You must make an appointment at the front desk for a 60 minute slot. Please pay at the front desk before your appointment. If you need to cancel an appointment, please call the front desk one day in advance so that the Docent will know not to come in.

Looking for a place to meet friends, old and new? The Senior Center offers many fun and exciting social activities including special luncheons, card playing, monthly birthday celebrations, bingo and much more.

  • Legal Counseling - Wills, Living Trusts, Probate: 3rd Thursday of the month
  • Ed Goodson, Attorney at Law, will offer half-hour appointments from 4:00 - 6:00pm.
  • HICAP: Medicare, health insurance and long-term care insurance counseling - appointments available the 2nd Tuesday and 3rd Friday of the month.
  • AARP Tax Preparation - (February - April 13)

The Senior Peer Counseling Program offers individual one-on-one, 45 minute counseling sessions. Services are FREE of charge, and confidentiality is strictly observed. You may be facing challenges that are difficult to cope with alone, and we offer support to help you through life's problems, crises and challenges. Problem areas can include anxiety, depression, fears, loneliness, family issues, or other concerns that can cause distress. Sign up for an appointment at the Front Desk or call (925) 973-3250.


County Bus Passes and BART tickets for Seniors (65+) and people with disabilities are available at the front counter during office hours.

Voter Registration forms are available by the Fireplace.

Alzheimer's Association Support Group meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00pm

Senior Center Libray - located in the TV room (South Lounge) which is next to the Garden View Room. Various books, magazines, DVD's, CD's, VHS tapes, puzzles and games are all available free for everyone to enjoy. All you need to do is borrow an item(s) and then drop into the return bin when you are finished. No need to check anything in or out.


From Sam's Chowder House in Half Moon Bay to Sonoma Town Square, there are lots of great ways to get out and enjoy lunch with friends while site-seeing.

Wednesday Mornings (time and location varies)
Join the San Ramon Trailblazers if you are interested in meeting new people, enjoying the outdoors, having fun and getting in shape. The group meets once a week at various locations and is led by volunteer, Nido Paras. The hiking level of thsi group is intermediate to advanced. To find out the exact meeting location and to get on the email list, please call the Senior Center or email trailblazer88@comcast.net. *This is an adults only group; pets are not permitted on hikes.
