The City of San Ramon Parks and Community Services Department has developed a Scholarship Program for San Ramon residents requesting financial assistance to participate in Community Service programs and classes.  San Ramon residents who meet the qualifications and income requirements listed below, as well as contribute a minimum of $15 towards each registration fee, are eligible to apply. Please review the eligibility criteria and instructions below for participation.  At this time, scholarships are available only to those under 18 years of age.

Program Guidelines

The scholarship program was established to ensure that the youth (under age 18) in San Ramon are afforded an opportunity to participate in recreation classes and programs. The following is a summary of the scholarship program and guidelines (detailed guidelines and information can be found on the website with application):

  1. Not all programs or classes are eligible for a scholarship, please check website for an up to date list of eligible programs or classes. Funds are limited, and subject to availability and limits and given on a first come first serve basis
  2. Applicants must meet low income guidelines  provided below
  3. Scholarships are limited to $300 per individual per fiscal year (July to June)
  4. Scholarships are available only to San Ramon residents who reside in the City limits
  5. All applications must be submitted 4 weeks prior to the start of the program. Applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of application submittal.
  6. Please provide the following:
    1. Copy of utility bill and
    2. Copy of most recent 1040 income Tax Form and
    3. Current copy of most recent employment check or check stub or proof of unemployment/government assistance.
    4. Any other documents proving need of assistance.
  7. Completed applications must be submitted to:
