The Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) provides advice and specific recommendations on how to help ensure that the City of San Ramon is the preferred community in the Tri-Valley for attracting private business investment, jobs, and economic opportunity today and into the future.

The public is welcome to attend meetings, which are scheduled the second Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. at San Ramon City Hall, 7000 Bollinger Canyon.

Current priorities

  • Marketing and Outreach

In support of Small Business Saturday on November 24, the Chamber, in partnership with the City of San Ramon, will be launching a shop local Passport Program between Nov. 17 and Dec. 16, 2018, to encourage residents to shop locally and promote small business spending in San Ramon.

  • Economic Development Strategic Plan Update

The Economic Development Strategic Plan is a policy document that guides the City of San Ramon’s economic development priorities and activities over a certain period of time. The plan is based on input from City staff, the San Ramon Economic Development Advisory Committee, local stakeholders, and the City Council.

A subcommittee of the Economic Development Advisory Committee is updating the Strategic Plan based on findings of a Retail Strategy Plan done in 2017 as the City positions itself for growth, particularly the opening of City Center.
