Flag Football League (Grades 1-9) SPRING 2018

Youth FLAG Football provides the opportunity for kids and families to become involved in football through participation early in life. It also helps develop the first phase of player and coach development by teaching football skills at the earliest age. The league utilizes volunteer coaches and encourages the involvement of parents. The emphasis of the league is on fundamental skill development, every player participating and FUN! Teams will have a training camp for the first week; games will start on the second week of the league. All participants will receive a reversible jersey.

Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Spaces are limited and leagues may close early based on the number of registrations before the registration deadline.

Practice and Game Schedule

The first week of the league will be training where the teams will practice the entire time. The following week, games begin and practices will be held during the first 50 minutes, with the game beginning at the top of the next hour.

Practices and games will be held on Fridays, April 13 – May 25, 2018 on the Central Park Soccer Fields 3 & 4 (directly behind the Iron Horse Community Gymnasium).

All participants must attend the mandatory Skills Clinic. Players will be evaluated on their skill levels and once the clinic is completed, staff will be able to form teams of equal abilities. League requests can only be submitted at the Skills Observations. No request is guaranteed. No refunds will be given for requests not granted.

This clinic is very important to the league, the participants, and the parents for the following:
1) In order to make the teams as equal as possible we must evaluate all the players' skills.
2) Accurate jersey size for the participants.
