Announcing Tenants

Sunset Development announced this week a  of tenants that will soon arrive in San Ramon at the City Center!

City Center will be anchored by THE LOT, a 10-screen luxury cinema AND dining venue.  Joining this cutting edge retail experience will be personal fitness center Equinox, Fieldwork Brewing Company, Boba Guy, Ramen Hiroshi, M ( a brand new clothing store), Alys Grace, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and West Elm.

Construction Update - February 5, 2018

On-Site Improvements

Sunset Development’s contractor, Plant Construction, continues construction of on-site civil, landscaping, grading, drainage, and parking lot improvements. Construction of the main building is progressing with the steel building structure top out completed and exterior wall framing is underway.

The roof covering is nearing completion and the exterior metal siding and window installations are underway and interior improvement related to the shell structure are proceeding. Construction of on-site storm drainage has begun with 70% of the main drainage pipe installed and installation of inlets underway. Currently progress is being made with storm drainage from the interior piazza and buildings out to the main storm drainage system. Construction has also been underway on-site with placement of approximately 60% sub base for the  exterior parking lot surrounding 

Completion of the center is on schedule for fall 2018.

Off-Site Improvements

Staff issued the SDP and Encroachment Permit for the off-site improvements along Sunset Drive and Bishop Drive adjacent to the City Center Bishop Ranch Project in December 2017. Off-site improvements include new street lights, traffic signals, a new mid-block signalized pedestrian crossing on Bishop Drive, a new bike trail connection to the Iron Horse Trail, and new enhanced street corners.

Construction Schedule

Bishop Drive: February 5th to February 25th

  • Complete installation of irrigation for pathway from Sunset Drive to Iron Horse Trail
  • Install aggregate base and asphalt path from Sunset Drive to Iron Horse Trail
  • Complete installation of curb ramp at northeast corner of Bishop Drive and Sunset Drive
  • Complete installation of curb ramp at the northeast corner of Bishop Drive and Camino Ramon
  • Begin installation of curb ramp at northwest corner of Bishop Drive and Camino Ramon
Additional work (fiber optic installation) adjacent to the City Center site may also occur coincidentally by a separate utility contractor.

Sunset Drive:  February 5th to February 25th

  • No major work scheduled

Please be aware that work on Bishop Drive and Sunset Drive may require periodic lane closures.  Typically, lane closures will occur during non-peak hours from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.  When required, night work may occur with lane closures from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.  Occasional weekend work may also take place.
