CITY OF SAN RAMON – COUNCIL MEETING
May 10, 2011
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of San Ramon was held May 10, 2011 at 5:33 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at City Hall, 2222 Camino Ramon, Mayor Wilson presiding.
PRESENT: Councilmembers Hudson, Livingstone, Rowley, Perkins, and Mayor Wilson.
STAFF PRESENT: City Clerk Patricia Edwards.

Vice Mayor Perkins led those present in the pledge of allegiance.

INTERVIEWS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The City Clerk provided the staff report. The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) is comprised of five San Ramon community members and a San Ramon Chamber of Commerce representative. The terms of Ken Dawdy, Jim McVay, and Peter Rathman expired January 31, 2011. Notice of the TAC vacancies were posted to the City’s website and an ad was placed in the local newspaper. Applications were received from Brian DiDiemar, Jim McVay, Peter Rathman, Gregory Schniegenberg, and Pete Slagle. On January 18, 2011, the Planning Commission interviewed the five candidates and recommended that the City Council appoint Brian DiDiemar, Jim McVay, and Pete Slagle to the TAC for terms expiring January 31, 2013. On February 8, 2011, the City Council deferred action on the TAC appointments. The candidates were subsequently interviewed by the Council on May 10, 2011.

CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS - TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
After the interviews, the City Clerk provided direction and distributed ballots. The Council voted and the City Clerk tabulated the ballots. Mayor Wilson announced that Jim McVay, Peter Rathman, and Gregory Schniegenberg received the majority votes. Vice Mayor Perkins’ motion to appoint Jim McVay, Peter Rathman, and Gregory Schniegenberg to the TAC for terms expiring January 31, 2013 was seconded by Cm. Livingstone and passed 5-0. Mayor Wilson adjourned the meeting at 6:31 p.m.
