MINUTES OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAMON – SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
December 13, 2011
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of San Ramon was held December 13, 2011 at 6:04 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at City Hall, 2222 Camino Ramon, Mayor Clarkson presiding.
PRESENT: Councilmembers Hudson, Livingstone, O’Loane, Perkins, and Mayor Clarkson.
STAFF PRESENT: City Clerk Patricia Edwards.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCECm. Phil O’Loane led those present in the pledge of allegiance.
INTERVIEWS FOR THE PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION APPLICANTS
The City Clerk provided the staff report. The Parks Commission consists of seven members each serving a four year term. One vacancy is available with a term expiring June 2014 due to the resignation of Bill Clarkson. Applications were received from Heidi Kenniston-Lee and Carol J. Rowley by the December 2, 2011 deadline. Heidi Kenniston-Lee and Carol J. Rowley were interviewed by the Council.
CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENT - PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION
After the interviews, the City Clerk provided instructions and distributed ballots. The Council voted and the City Clerk tabulated the ballots. Mayor Clarkson announced that Heidi Kenniston-Lee received the majority of the votes. Vice Mayor Perkins’ motion to appoint Heidi Kenniston-Lee to the Parks Commission for a term expiring June 2014 was seconded by Cm. O’Loane and passed 5-0.Vice Mayor Perkins’ motion to adjourn the meeting was seconded by Cm. Livingstone and passed 5-0. At 6:01 p.m., Mayor Clarkson adjourned the meeting.
