GEOLOGIC HAZARD ABATEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1990-01 MEETING

November 25, 2008

A regular meeting of the City of San Ramon Geologic Hazard Abatement District No. 1990-01 was held November 25, 2008 at 5:35 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at City Hall, 2222 Camino Ramon, Board Chair Wilson presiding.
PRESENT:  Board Members Hudson, Perkins and Rowley, Board Vice Chair Livingstone, and Board Chair Wilson.
STAFF PRESENT:  City Manager Herb Moniz, City Attorney Byron Athan, Senior Engineer Robin Bartlett, and District Clerk Patricia Edwards.

Board Chair Wilson led those in attendance in the pledge of allegiance.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The District Clerk noted that there were no changes or additions to the agenda.

The District Clerk reported that there were no requests for public comment.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mbr. Perkins' motion to approve the October 28, 2008 minutes was seconded by Mbr. Rowley and passed 4-0.  Mbr. Hudson was absent.

CONSENT CALENDAR

(#6.1) Geologic Hazard Abatement District No. 1990-01 (GHAD) – Adopt Resolution GHAD 2008-013 – Authorizing the Chair of the Board to Execute Quitclaim Deeds to Convey Exempt Surplus Land from Parcel A (APN 222-010-037) to the Owners of Lots 7 through 11 (APNs 222-170-007, 222-170-008, 222-170-009, 222-170-010, and 222-170-011) of Subdivision 8131 (Gale 1/Shapell Industries, Inc.).

Mbr. Perkins' motion to approve consent calendar item 6.1 was seconded by Mbr. Rowley and passed 4-0.  Mbr. Hudson abstained.

Mbr. Hudson noted that flood hazard information letters were sent to all San Ramon property owners who own property in or near a Special Flood Hazard Area or flood zone.  This annual mailing provides residents with flood zone information and helps to fulfill the Community Rating System’s (CRS) requirement for community outreach and earns the City points towards its CRS rating.  The City’s current Class A rating provides property owners with a 10% discount on their flood insurance premiums.
