City Hall Art Exhibit

The California Watercolor Association’s City Hall exhibit features work by 28 different local artists. The show’s title is Autumn’s Allure, inspired by the current season. Members of the California Watercolor Association submitted works which were then judged by two jurors whom determined their acceptance into the show.  The jurors also determined a first, second and third place winner which will be announced at their awards reception. There are 51 works on display at City Hall.

Organized in 1967 under the name East Bay Watercolor Society, the group incorporated in 1975 as a non-profit organization. The name changed in 1996 to the California Watercolor Association. Today the tradition to meet, share and learn from other artists continues, as CWA brings opportunities and support to its members.

The California Watercolor Association is a prominent watermedia organization.  CWA’s mission is to create, foster, and sustain artistic growth and interest in watermedia.  These goals are accomplished through our community outreach programs, workshops, public exhibitions, and student activities.  CWA members include professional and non-professional artists, teachers, and students with a compelling interest in painting.

Their exhibit is on display now through the end of October with their awards reception on Friday October 4th from 5:30pm – 7:30pm.
