New Free Community Workout at Central Park

On Thursday, September 5 the Parks & Community Services Department teamed up with SHRED 415 to kick off a free community workout series. There were 20 members of the community that came out for the first class. Workouts will be held Thursdays from 5:45-6:30pm through October 24, 2019 at Central Park in the meadow. The meadow is located near the corner of Alcosta and Bollinger.

This 45-minute instructor led high intensity interval workout combines strength and cardio conditioning and is suited for all fitness levels. Please be sure to wear comfortable workout attire, bring a yoga mat, water bottle and a sweat towel.

SHRED 415’s signature 45-minute outdoor workout is designed to target multiple muscle groups for an efficient and effective total body workout. You will spend an equal amount of time on cardio burst intervals and strength training that you need to shred your body. Modifications are always offered, so you can be sure you’re getting the right workout for YOUR body.

One participant at the first class said “This was a great idea to get people to enjoy the city parks while working out.”
