Learn to Swim: Parent/Tot

Students must be accompanied by an adult for all classes. If needed, swim diapers must be worn by students. The Aquatic Staff will assess the student’s abilities based on age and comfort level in the water on the first day of class. Students, with their parent’s support, will begin to explore front and back floating, gliding, and kicking, as well as entering and exiting the pool. As students become comfortable with basic skills they will begin to explore using their arms and legs so they feel more comfortable with the motions of swimming. These classes are not designed to teach the student to swim independently, but to increase the comfort level of the student in and around the water.
