8.1

San Ramon Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment (TA 13-410-001) By: Shinei Tsukamoto, Associate Planner and Ryan Driscoll, Assistant Planner Staff Report

Request: The intent of this public hearing is to allow for additional public input on the proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance for the City of San Ramon, and to finalize the draft text amendment prior to making recommendation to the City Council.

Location: Citywide

CEQA: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, an Addendum to the 2012 Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment Initial Study/Negative Declaration has been prepared for the project.

Recommendation: That the Planning Commission receive the staff report, open the public hearing, take public testimony, close the public hearing; discuss and if appropriate, adopt Planning Commission Resolution No. 03-13.

PUBLIC HEARING - NEW ITEMS

9.1

The Growing Room Day Care Facility at Golden View Elementary School (IS 13-250-001 and MUP 11-501-041) By: Shinei Tsukamoto, Associate Planner Staff Report

Request: The applicant is requesting approval of a Minor Use Permit to increase the capacity of the existing school-age day care facility from 50 children to 160 children to expand the facility to include classrooms 17 and 21 on the Golden View Elementary School campus,  in addition to the originally approved modular building.

Location: 5025 Canyon Crest Drive (APN: 217-050-007)

CEQA: The project has been analyzed with an Initial Study/Negative Declaration (IS 13-250-001) and circulated for a 20-day public review period from February 28, 2013 to March 19, 2013, in accordance with section I5070 and 15073 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines.

Recommendation: That the Planning Commission receive the staff report, open the public hearing, take public testimony, close the public hearing, discuss and deliberate and, if appropriate, adopt Planning Commission Resolution No. 01-13

9.2

Panache Enfants Day Care Center at the Courtyard Center (IS 13-250-002 and LUP 12-500-002) By: Shinei Tsukamoto, Associate Planner Staff Report

Request: The applicant is proposing to establish a new 8,146 sq. ft. child day care center within an existing commercial building located a 2410 San Ramon Valley Blvd.  The proposed day care center would occupy Suites 100, 105, and 106. The day care is proposed to have a capacity for 72 children between the ages of six months to six years.

Location: 2410 San Ramon Valley Blvd. (APN: 209-810-009)

CEQA: The project has been analyzed with an Initial Study/Negative Declaration (IS 13-250-002) and circulated for a 20-day public review period from February 28, 2013, to March 19, 2013  in accordance with section 15070 and 15073 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines.

Recommendation: That the Planning Commission receive the staff report, open the public hearing, take public testimony, close the public hearing, discuss and deliberate and, if appropriate, adopt Planning Commission Resolution No. 02-13
