Planning Commission Minutes
A regular meeting of the Planning Commission, City of San Ramon was called to order by Vice Chair Sachs at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in the Council Chambers 2222 Camino Ramon, San Ramon.

3.1 Swearing in of Planning Commission members
3.2 Nomination of Officers: Nomination of new Planning Commission Chair and Vice Chair. It was moved by Comm. Kerger and seconded by Chair Viers to nominate Vice Chair Sachs as Chair. It was moved by Commissioner Viers and seconded by Commissioner Benedetti to nominate Commissioner Kerger as Vice Chair. The motions passed unanimously.
3.3 Recognition of Phil O’Loane, Chairperson of the Planning Commission from June 2009 to June 2010 and service from 2006-2010 Presented to Phil O’Loane by Chair Sachs.
Roz Rogoff – San Ramon thanked Phil O’Loane for his years of service on the Planning Commission.

11.1 Overview of Transportation Division Programs
Transportation Services Division Manager Lisa Bobadilla gave a PowerPoint Presentation on Transportation Division Programs. She highlighted the following programs in her presentation, Transportation Planning, Regional Transportation Planning and Coordination, Public Transportation, Regional Air Quality Programs, Traffic Mitigation Fee Program, Transportation Advisory Committee, Street Smarts, Safe Routes to School, Residential Traffic Calming, TRAFFIX, Transportation Demand Management Programs, and Transportation Demand Management Advisory Committee.
Vice Chair Kerger asked how often are surveys taken in residential areas where speed humps have been installed. Ms. Bobadilla replied post installation survey data is collected every six to twelve months and, that speed limits surveys are taken prior to the installation of the speed humps and after. Ms. Bobadilla added that average speed limits are reduced by 4 to 5 miles per hour. Vice Chair Kerger asked that the residents be informed of the survey results.
Vice Chair Kerger stated that she is pleased with the improvement of traffic circulation at the Iron Horse Middle school.
