Commissioner Benedetti asked Mr. Barr why the Police Department had recommended increasing in the CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) training which was different from the State requirement which staff found was required.

Mr. Barr replied that to have more qualified people on site. It is not a requirement put into place by the State. Typically, we defer the licensing requirements to the State level for day care other than the Zoning and Land Use issues. Commissioner Benedetti further asked if this has been our practice. Mr. Barr replied yes.

Commissioner Benedetti asked for clarification if there was an existing Dry Cleaner in the shopping mall and would it remain.  Mr. Barr replied yes.

Mr. Gill added that there is a need for this kind of establishment and that they have received a huge response from e-mail advertising.
