Planning Commission Minutes
A regular meeting of the Planning Commission for the City of San Ramon was called to order by Chair Kerger at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in the Council Chambers 2222 Camino Ramon, San Ramon.

Commissioner Benedetti asked Mr. Barr why the Police Department had recommended increasing in the CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) training which was different from the State requirement which staff found was required.
Mr. Barr replied that to have more qualified people on site. It is not a requirement put into place by the State. Typically, we defer the licensing requirements to the State level for day care other than the Zoning and Land Use issues. Commissioner Benedetti further asked if this has been our practice. Mr. Barr replied yes.
Commissioner Benedetti asked for clarification if there was an existing Dry Cleaner in the shopping mall and would it remain. Mr. Barr replied yes.
Chair Kerger opened the public hearing.
Baldi Gill the applicant stated that they have been in business since 2001 four centers similar to the proposed application in Fremont and decided to move to San Ramon.
Mr. Gill added that there is a need for this kind of establishment and that they have received a huge response from e-mail advertising.
Commissioner Sachs asked Mr. Gill to clarify the security of the facility inside and out. Mr. Gill replied that there is no internal security camera. There is one entrance and two exists in the back if facility. The two exists are fire exists and always remain closed, the front door only opens when a button is pressed from the inside located under the counsel and 7-10 ft. away from the front entrance. No child can get out unless they are signed out and escorted which is a State requirement.
Chair Kerger closed the public hearing.
It was moved by Commissioner Wallis and seconded by Commissioner Benedetti that the Planning Commission adopt Resolution Number 14-11 granting a Land Use Permit(00 LUP -11-500-006).
