1.         CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order by Chair Chris Weeks at 11:40 a.m.


M/S/C/U (Glaser/Austin) to approve the July 30, 2013 meeting minutes as written




4.1       Transportation Commuter Fairs/Events

Darlene Amaral, Transportation Analyst, stated that she needs to work with Diablo Valley College (DVC) to plan a commuter fair, and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD). Ms. Amaral attended the East Bay Regional Parks Health and Benefit fair that is held every year in San Ramon. She stated that the event displayed electric vehicles, and the event had an environmental focus to it. Mr. Weeks stated that he is working with Bishop Ranch employers at Bank of the West and PG&E to help them with carpooling. Mr. Weeks stated that Bishop Ranch is working on meeting with Carma to start promoting the Real Time Rideshare program which is an online application that   connects people with other carpoolers. Mr. Weeks stated that the electric vehicle chargers in Bishop Ranch will be listed on the Chargepoint website.

4.2       511 CC Countywide Employer Survey

Ms. Amaral stated that the 511 Contra Costa Countywide Employer Survey does not need a Request for Proposals (RFP) posted because of the budget amount for the survey. Ms. Amaral stated that she will call a few consultant companies and request quotes.  She stated that she has met with Lisa Bobadilla, Transportation Division Manager, to discuss the survey. Ms. Amaral stated that they decided to focus the report on 10-20 employers in the San Ramon Valley. Ms. Amaral received a list of Danville employers to contact from the Town of Danville that they would like to be included in the report. Ms. Amaral stated that so far she has a list of 34 employers in the San Ramon Valley that she has contacted, but has not received confirmation from every employers will participated in the survey. The committee members went through the survey questions with Ms. Amaral. Ms. Amaral stated that the goal is to send out the survey the first week of November.

Action Items: M/S/C/U (Glaser/Austin) (3-0) approved the updated survey with the committee member’s comments.  Provide update to the TDM committee at the next regularly scheduled meetings.

4.3       Tri-Valley Spare the Air Resource Team

Ms. Amaral stated that the Tri-Valley Spare the Air Resource Team will hold another Great Race for Clean Air challenge that will commence in Spring 2014. Ms. Amaral informed the committee of an “In it to Win it” promotion of the Great Race for Clean Air. Ms. Amaral stated that the Air District funds the Great Race’s incentives.

Action Items: None.

5.        NEW BUSINESS

5.1       SB 1339 Bay Area Commuter Benefit Program

Ms. Amaral stated that there will be a SB1339 workshop that will be hosted by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). Ms. Amaral stated that she has seen the presentation, and encouraged all committee members to attend the workshop. Ms. Austin asked if Ms. Amaral will be attending, Ms. Amaral stated that she will be attending as City of San Ramon and 511 Contra Costa staff.

Action Items:  Ms. Amaral to provide an update to the TDM committee at the next regularly scheduled meetings.

5.2       511 CC Vanpool Program

Ms. Amaral stated that she is working with 511 Contra Costa to post the 511 Contra Costa Vanpool Program Application online. Ms. Amaral stated that 511 Contra Costa used Blink Tag to post the application online, so she has scheduled a meeting with the company. Ms. Amaral stated that there will still be a paper application available.

Action Items: None.


6.1 Current updates local/regional TDM related items

Ms. Amaral stated that a new TDM committee member, Cayce Wilson from Whole Foods, will join the committee. Ms. Amaral will take the TDM Appointment to the October 22, 2013 City Council meeting, and encouraged committee members to attend the meeting.

7.         ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:15 p.m.  The next regular meeting is scheduled for November 18, 2013 in the Transportation Conference Room, 2401 Crow Canyon Road.
