Middle School Camps

Come check out our full day summer camps! If you're in middle school and want to have some fun this summer, then join your friends at the full day middle school camps from 8:30am to 5:30pm! There's something for everyone! Daily activities may include wacky games, contests, movies, video game tournaments, sports, and cool crafts. Every week the camp will go the pool and spend a day swimming, relaxing in the sun and hanging out with friends. The camps also goes on two weekly field trips to exciting locations and participate in activities such as amusement parks, rock climbing, baseball game, summer movies, and much more.  What are you waiting for? Come spend this summer with us and let the fun begin.  You can sign up weekly of for the whole summer.  Field trips are included when you sign up for the weekly or all summer camps.

Advanced Debate and Public Speaking Camp (Theme Team Building and Sports)

This is an excellent advanced level course that reinforces presentation skills and builds upon basic strategies of debating. We work on delivering descriptive and expository speeches, through powerful presentations focused on the themes of team building and sports. Students begin to conduct research on more current issues and learn to present their speeches with the use of Power Point, Charts, Diagrams and other Audio/Visual Aids. This course will enable kids to participate in team activities and develop the process of brainstorming, evaluation, communication and research.Our goal is to develop well-rounded individuals!

Middle School Anime & Manga Cartooning Camp

Come ring in the summer season and join in our Anime/Manga drawing class. Learn step by step instruction in getting you started on Japanese style cartooning. The camp will allow for the art student to explore fundamentals in drawing popular Anime characters, elements of cartooning, studying film and art projects. The goal is to discover new drawing techniques, have fun and embrace your own potential. This class is an all levels course. Some returning students may be divided into groups for separate instructions dependent on skill set. Art materials must be available first day of instruction.

RobotED: Design Your Own BOT!

This is your chance to build your own robot using the new LEGO WeDo 2.0 kit! We provide you with the kit and the computer and several bases with different focuses - cranks, pulleys, sensors etc. Each team must use our guidelines to design their own bot and showcase it at the end of camp! Combine your imagination and creativity in this fun, hands-on camp. No prior experience is required. Instructors guide and help at each step.

Snapology Building- How Things work
Instructor: Snapology of the Tri-Valley

If you like to build, that’s all we’ll be doing here. We’ll use basic materials to rig up catapults to make basic robot you modify for combat against each other with missions. We’ll use solar and water energiesto build models that will move. You’ll experience making circuits to using Circuit Cubes to make LEGO® bricks move. And with our Escape Room, can you figure your way out and unlock the code? We will be active so please wear comfortable clothes, bring a snack and water/drink.

 Snapology Science Lab
Instructor: Snapology of the Tri-Valley

This lab is to experience science by making. We’ll explore, create and build using basic materials to explode, launch and discover. We’ll make snow in the summer and volcanoes inside and out. We’ll paint and hide rocks in the area to see who takes our kindness gift. We’ll get squishy & blinky with circuits and different types of slime. And how far will things shoot up and straight? Can we get the soda to launch more than 8’? Can you shoot straight? We will be active and making so please wear clothes that can get dirty, bring a snack and water/drink.

Drone Aviation
Instructor: Engineering for Kids

“Build it! Code it! Fly it!” Jump in the forefront of the emerging field of DRONES! Come explore a thrilling, hands-on aerial robotics platform. This camp is the perfect introduction to the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Safety is a priority as students learn to fly in first-person view (FPV), exploring the real-world applications of drones. Campers will master basic piloting skills, construct an obstacle course to fly through, and stage a final race to showcase their cumulative knowledge. Using the Engineering Design Process, put critical thinking to a test, build your dream aircraft or hovercraft, and learn to program your drone to fly the skies and complete various stunts!

3D Printing: MineCraft Creations

3D printing and Minecraft both represent boundless opportunity for creating even our wildest of ideas! In 3D Printing: Minecraft Creations, students will explore the basic concepts of 3D printing and computer-aided design, or CAD, to bring their most awesome Minecraft creation to life! Students will take their Minecraft design out of the world of Minecraft and learn how to extrude it into a 3D model that can then be modified to be printed in 3D.

Electrical Engineering
Instructor: Engineering for Kids

During our Electrical Engineering program, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine basic electronics and circuits. Students experiment with and discover the capabilities of major electronic components. In addition, students build their own flashlights and explore the world of magnetic energy by building their own Magnetic Levitation vehicle.

Go ProFlix

Traditional filmmaking has never been like this! No tripods - it's all about new ways to capture movement as the camera becomes part of the process. Students work in groups to experiment with techniques and tricks behind creating truly unique GoPro movies! Movies will be available for download 1 month after program ends. 
There is a $35 production fee paid to the instructor on the first day of class
