San Ramon Trail Walks 
All Ages  FREE

Join us for our trail walks led by the San Ramon Open Space Advisory Committee.  On these hikes we will take several breaks to discuss featured nature elements, open space areas, and about the Open Space Advisory Committee.  These hikes are free, however pre-registration is required.  Trails will not be paved, so please wear appropriate footwear.  These hikes are also featured hikes of the 2019 San Ramon Trails Challenge.  

Bishop Ranch Lake Trail Walk 
Saturday, April 6  9:00am-12:00pm  Act #3085 
Discover the walking paths and urban trails that Bishop Ranch has to offer with our Bishop Ranch Lake Trail Walk.  On this approximately 3 mile walk, participants will leave from the San Ramon Community Center and walk first by our brand new City Center and then the beautiful AT&T lake.  Walkers will continue on Bishop Drive until they reach Executive Parkway, which will lead back to the transit center and Iron Horse Trail.  From there, the walk will conclude with a stroll through Central Park.  Members of the San Ramon City Council, Planning Commission, Parks and Community Services Commission, and Open Space Advisory Committee will be in attendance.  
Location - Park in the City Hall / San Ramon Community Center Parking lot.  Meet staff by the terrace room in the San Ramon Community Center.

Alamo Creek to Hidden Valley Ridge Trail Loop 
Saturday, May 4  9:00am-12:00pm  Act #2844 
Explore the Alamo Creek and Hidden Valley Ridge on this beautiful, moderately strenuous 3.5 mile hike through the Hidden Valley Open Space.  Starting at Dougherty Valley High School, the hike will take participants down the scenic Alamo Creek trail, eventually leading to the Hidden Valley Open Space.  Hikers will then make the moderately uphill climb to the Hidden Valley Ridge Trail, which will wind back to Dougherty Valley High School.  Enjoy scenic views of Mount Diablo and the Tassajara area on this hike led by the Open Space Advisory Committee.  
Location - Park at the Dougherty Valley High School in the main parking lot.  Meet staff in front of the Dougherty Valley High School main office to start the hike.
