The San Ramon Police Department's Property and Evidence Unit makes every effort to return found property to its rightful owner. Found items are held for 90 days, by law. If the item is unclaimed, it maybe destroyed or sold at public auction.

Items of value that were turned into the Police Department as found property will be listed below. If you believe any of these items belong to you, contact the SRPD Property and Evidence Unit at (925) 973-2765.  Appointments are required for property releases.

You will be required to submit proof of ownership to claim any property. One or more items below will be required to claim said property:
* A valid photo ID
* Proof of ownership for the item (photo, receipt, serial number, detailed description, etc.)
* Ability to verify the contents of an electronic item or provide the correct passcode, password, thumbprint, etc. to open the device.

Please, contact the SRPD Property and Evidence Unit at (925) 973-2765 for property release dates and times since they are subject to change. Items are purged on a daily/weekly basis in accordance with the law and may no longer be available.
