Tiny Tot Tennis

This program works by getting children involved in the game immediately. Specifically designed nets and color coded balls (Red, Orange, Green) created by the USTA have revolutionized the game for beginner players. Within the first hour of stepping on to the court, children are playing the game, rallying with one another, and having fun. Players gain confidence as they see immediate progress, and are enthusiastic about continuing to play and improve. Student to instructor ratio is 6:1.

Quick Start Tennis

Players gain confidence as they see immediate progress, and are enthusiastic about continuing to play and improve. An introduction to tennis strokes using orange balls with an emphasis on running and hitting the ball within a few classes.

Tournament Tennis Groups

Tournament Training Level 1
Focus is on stronger stroke production and point development for players ready to compete in Green Dot Level USTA Tournaments. Required Prerequisite: Junior Stars. Green Dot Ball used. Student to instructor ratio is 6:1.  


Tournament Training Level 2
Point play and shot strategy; participants should possess solid strokes and be ready to compete in Novice / Challenger level USTA tournament play. Required prerequisite: Tournament Training Level 1. Regular 'yellow ball' used. Student to instructor ratio is 6:1.   

High Performance Tennis

Level 1
Arora Tennis has a qualified staff of Certified Teaching Professionals who take tennis players of all abilities to the next level. Lessons focus on strong competition with an emphasis on all court movement. Players in this class are starting to compete in monthly intermediate USTA tournaments.

Level 2
Players in this class are already competing in USTA Open level tournaments and or have already participated in Junior Varsity / Varsity level High School Tennis. Drills, point paly, technique advancement, conditioning will all be emphasized. Please Note: placement in this class is by Instructor approval only. Player that may not fit this level may be moved up or down a level. 

Level 3
Players in this class are already competing in USTA Championship level tournaments and or have participated in upper Varsity level High School Tennis. Drills, point paly, technique advancement, conditioning will all be emphasized. Please Note: placement in this class is by Instructor approval only. Player that may not fit this level may be moved up or down a level. 

Level 4
Players in this class are already competing in USTA National level tournaments and/or have participated in top Varsity level High School Tennis. Drills, point paly, technique advancement, conditioning will all be emphasized. Please Note: placement in this class is by Instructor approval only. Player that may not fit this level may be moved up or down a level. 
BONASERA TENNIS
Program founder Joyce Bonasera has 10 years of experience teaching tennis in San Ramon serving as high school and recreational coach. In her time in San Ramon, she has developed top ranked junior players and adult NTRP in Northern California. 

Green Dot Ball Tennis Class
Intended for low intermediate players that are working towards participating in USTA tournaments. Class consists of drills, footwork, stroke production, video analysis, fitness and match play.

Elite Tournament Tennis Training
Train effectively, improve stroke production, shot selection and court sense. Players will be participating in high intensity drills, fitness, video analysis and match play. *All players must be approved by Joyce Bonasera. 
CLUB V.I.P. VOLLEYBALL
Youth Progressive Volleyball
This is a beginner's volleyball class geared for boys and girls between the ages of 10-14. The intent of this class is to work with interested players and teach them the basics of volleyball. They will be taught how to pass, set ,serve, and spike in a fun atmosphere. Our hope is to establish a great foundation that will excite them to continue playing volleyball in the future. 

Teen Progressive Volleyball
Finally, a volleyball class geared for young athletes interested in learning more about volleyball. The intent of this class is to work with interested players and teach them the fundamental skills used on volleyball teams. They will be taught how to pass, set, serve, and spike in a fun atmosphere. Our hopes are to establish a great foundation that will excite them to continue to Club V.I.P.'s Recreational Leagues.
FENCING
Fencing An Introduction to Foil
This 8 class basic foil fencing course designed to take the beginner into the rules and convention of foil fencing with emphasis on footwork, blade work safety and most importantly FUN!. Each class begins with warm up exercises, footwork drills, followed by blade work practice and ending with supervised bouts between fencers. The idea is to get the students fencing quickly, exercising physically while playing a game that keeps the mind active. Participants need to wear sweat pants and court shoes (NO shorts). No experience necessary. Foil jacket and mask will be provided. Students must purchase glove and under jacket protection

Fencing II - Intermediate
The Intermediate classes are designed for those fencers who have completed the beginning class, or are experienced fencers. The program is designed towards advancing the fencer's skills, considerable electric fencing, advanced footwork, blade work drills and bouting tactics. Fencers will be introduced to individual one on one lesson. Those fencers interested in an emphasis on skill development and preparation for competitive fencing. All Intermediate classes will require purchase of electric and full fencing uniform equipment. This will require a purchase of a Lame, body cord, electric weapon, mask cord if necessary and knickers. Equipment can be purchased from various on line suppliers or locally in the Bay Area.

Introduction to Saber Fencing
Students will learn the fast, exciting sport of Saber Fencing. This 8 class basic Saber fencing course designed to take the beginner into the rules and convention of Saber fencing with emphasis on footwork, blade work, safety and most importantly FUN!. Each class begins with warm up exercises, footwork drills, followed by blade work practice and ending with supervised bouts between fencers. The idea is to get the students fencing quickly, exercising physically while playing a game that keeps the mind active. No experience necessary. Basic equipment will be provided. 
GYMNASTICS
Tiny Tumbler Gymnastics
This class is designed to enhance your child's motor development skills, balance, coordination, and confidence. Emphasis is placed on developing beginning gymnastic skills in a fun and social environment and also introducing children to learn to participate in a structured class without their parents. Equipment incorporated into the class includes gymnastic mats, single bars, double bars, balance beams, vaulting blocks, incline and barrel mats, ladders, bouncers and spring board, parachutes, rhythm sticks, tunnels, and various other equipment. Music games and group activities are incorporated into the class. 


HOT SHOT BADMINTON

Hot Shot Badminton - Ages 7-14

This course provides fun and energetic lessons in the fundamentals of badminton techniques and rules. Through the course students will develop skills knowledge and technique of footwork, backhand, forehand, clears drops, drives and smashes. Students will learn to rally, hit, serve, and smash the birdie through fun skill building drills of badminton, including rally contests, mini match games and full match games using the 21 point rally scoring system. Students will be grouped based on skill level.

KIDZ LOVE SOCCER

Soccer - Ages 2+

Kidz Love Soccer: Mommy/Daddy & Me Soccer (Ages 2-3.5):

Introduce yourself and your toddler to the ‘World’s Most Popular Game!’ As you and your child participate in fun age appropriate activities, your child will be developing their large motor skills and socialization skills. The fun happens on the field, and in Mommy/Daddy & Me Soccer, parents are part of the action, not watching from the sidelines!

Kidz Love Soccer: Tot Soccer (Ages 3.5-4):
Instructor: Kidz Love Soccer
Little tykes will enjoy running and kicking just like the big kids! Encourages large motor skill development through fun soccer games and introduces small children to the group setting.

Kidz Love Soccer: Pre Soccer (Ages 4-5):
Instructor: Kidz Love Soccer
Teaches the basic techniques of the game and builds self-esteem through participation and fun soccer activities. Children learn to follow instructions in a nurturing, age appropriate environment


Kidz Love Soccer: Soccer 1 (Ages 5-6):
Instructor: Kidz Love Soccer
Players will learn dribbling, passing, defense and shooting goals! Fun skill games are played at every session, and every participant will have a ball at his or her feet. Small-sided soccer matches will be introduced gradually. Shin guards are required.

LITTLE DRIBBLERS BASKETBALL CLASSES

Little Dribblers (Ages 3-4):

Designed to introduce the sport of basketball and develop motor skills and eye-hand coordination through fun drills and games. Young hoopsters will learn the fundamentals of bouncing, catching, and shooting.

Little Dribblers I (Ages 5-6):

Designed to introduce the sport of basketball and develop motor skills and eye-hand coordination through fun drills and games. Young hoopsters will learn the fundamentals of bouncing, catching, and shooting.

Little Dribblers II (Ages 5-6):

This class develops a youngster’s knowledge and ability to participate in an age appropriate game of basketball! Building upon skills learned from Dribblers I, children will be introduced to Man to Man and Zone defense basics. With scrimmages held each class, this will be a great introduction to our Youth Hoops program and its rules.

Little Dribblers III (Ages 7-8)

This class develops a hoopster's knowledge and ability to participate in an age appropriate game of basketball! Children will be introduced to defensive and offensive skills and concepts. 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 scrimmages each class will introduce the flow and excitement of a real basketball game!

Little Dribblers IV (Ages 7-8)

Little Dribblers IV is the next progression in the Little Dribblers program. Each class is fast paced and features one segment of fundamental drill work, one segment of competitive drills and one segment of 3 on 3 or 5 on 5 game play. The fundamental concepts that are focused on are ballhandling, attacking the basket, defense/rebounding and shooting.

RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

Rhythmic Gymnastics - Ages 4+

Level 1-2 (Ages 4-9):
Participants will learn about the women's Olympic sport of rhythmic gymnastics which combines tumbling, coordination, flexibility, muscle tone, balance, concentration skills and creativity together with music appreciation are emphasized. Girls will enjoy floor exercises with ribbon, hoop, ball and jump rope. Leotards or sweat suits and cotton socks recommended.

Level 3-5 (Ages 6-12):
Participants will learn new elements and tricks with ball, hoop, rope and ribbon. Gymnasts will improve flexibility, muscle tone, learn progressive Junior Olympic team skills and participate in a performance.

Rising Star Athlete Conditioning (Ages 5-13):
This class combines a variety of exercises creating a balanced fitness program while working on all the major muscle groups. Athletes will drastically improve their flexibility, mobility, balance, core strength and coordination. The variety of exercises helps your muscles to adapt more quickly to new activities, and may reduce your risk of injury while working on the flexibility and keeping your joints in balance.

Rising Star Athlete Conditioning/Level 3-5 Combined (Ages 5-13):
This includes both the rising athlete conditioning and level 3-5 class for a discounted rate.
