The first public hearing on The Orchards proposed development (the site of the former Chevron Park property) took place at the Planning Commission Meeting on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The first public hearing included an overview of The Orchards proposed project, environmental analysis, and public comment.
The next Public Hearing on The Orchards proposed development will take place as part of the Planning Commission Meeting on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 6 p.m.
The January 20 Public Hearing will include:
- A review of Q&A response from the December 16, 2025 meeting
- Draft Project Conditions of Approval review
- Time for Public Comment
The meeting will be held at City Hall (7000 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon, CA 94583) and will be streamed live on YouTube. A recording of the meeting will be available to watch afterward.

The proposed development project would demolish the former Chevron office park; subdivide the property to create three Districts on approximately 92 acres for Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, and Single Family/Townhomes uses; a master plan to construct 2,510 residential units over the course of 20 years; a development plan for the Neighborhood District consisting of 368 units and 58 accessory dwelling units, and develop associated private roads, parking and landscape.
