Each year, the San Ramon City Council participates in a goal-setting workshop, during which the Council reviews and revises its goals for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1–June 30).
Below are the Goals for the 2025–26 Fiscal Year.
Goal #1: Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment

Goal #6: Balance Land Use Planning for Housing, Retail, Jobs and Open Space
- Objective #1: Work with stakeholders on new infill development opportunities within the city core and existing commercial centers
- Objective #2: Work with property owners/developers and permitting entities (internal and external agencies) to transition approved projects and construction phases
- Objective #3: Strengthen the ADU program by aligning standards with State law, updating permit-ready plans, and administering construction rebate incentives through the ADU Accelerator Program
