Critter Crossing Park is a 7-acre park located at the intersection of Main Branch Rd and S Monarch Rd. The new park will feature two playgrounds, two large shaded picnic areas, a sand volleyball court, a baseball field, a Labyrinth, a cornhole play area, ping pong tables, two restrooms, a walking loop, and outdoor workout area.

The Park is being constructed by Toll Brothers and requires approval by Contra Costa County before Park ownership and maintenance is turned over to the City of San Ramon.

Estimated opening date: Late Summer 2026

Steps to Completion

  • Toll Brothers completes their punch list✅ 
  • Toll Brothers submits turnover documents to Contra Costa County
  • 60-day review period begins with Contra Costa County
  • The City of San Ramon takes ownership and maintenance of the park

Construction Updates

Work Completed (as of 6/1/26)

  • Remove graffiti from picnic table
  • Install walking loop signs
  • Fill in gaps between concrete pavers and concrete paving around perimeter of Labyrinth area.
  • Install City Park Rules and Regulations signs
  • Install removable bollards at fence openings
  • Adjust rim elevation of storm drain inlets
  • Install “anti-pollution” thermoplastic decals on storm drain inlets
