Leaders in Training Program

Leadership and professionalism are two key skills young people should strive to achieve. Learn the skills needed to work a summer recreation job for the City of San Ramon. Attending the Leaders in Training spring training is the prerequisite to helping out at Summer Camp.

Participants are required to attend 4 of 5 classes weeks, to be eligible to volunteer at Summer Camp 2023.  Week 5 (May 25), 4:30 PM-7:00 PM, will be offered as a "make up class," to anyone who missed a class during weeks 1-4. This program gives participates the opportunity to prepare for possible future employment by including training and mentoring, training for summer camp volunteering, and guided experiences working with youth and becoming a leader.

Helping out at camp opportunities are available at Central Park, Iron Horse Middle School, Crow Canyon Gardens, and Forest Farms (limited) with preschool and elementary age camps. Leaders in Training (LITs) should be available Monday - Friday, morning or afternoon. All schedules will be chosen during the final spring class.

**Important**

Class on 5/4 will take place at the Amador Rancho Community Center.  Same timeframe, 4:30PM-5:45PM.
