AVAILABLE APPOINTMENTS:

Depending on the Commission, Committee or Board, the City Council or a subcommittee of the City Council will review all applications, conduct interviews and then make recommendations for appointment. The final appointments for all Committees, Commissions, and Boards are determined by the City Council.

Commissioners and committee members must reside in the City of San Ramon and be 18 years of age or older (with the exception of members of the Teen Council and the student representative on the Parks and Community Services Commission).

CLIMATE ACTION CITIZENS TASK FORCE - NEW

On January 23, 2024, the City Council voted to establish a task force with two specific tasks: (1) to work with staff to garner public input and update the City’s Climate Action Plan (CAP); and (2) once the CAP is adopted, the task force will draft a charter for Council consideration for a permanent environmental committee. All members must be San Ramon residents. Categories marked with an asterisk (*) may be filled with a non-resident of San Ramon, provided that the person has a stake in the San Ramon business or education community. If the City is unable to fill a position for any specific category, the Council may elect to appoint an at-large member instead.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY OPENINGS:

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY ADVISORY COUNCIL ON AGING - NEW

The Contra Costa County Council on Aging (ACOA) provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons and serves as a channel of communication and information on aging issues. In collaboration with the Area Agency on Aging, the Council provides a means for countywide planning, cooperating and coordination to improve and develop services and opportunities for older residents of this county. The position serves a two-year term and meets 8 times per year on the third Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. Additional information can be found on the Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging website.

COUNTY CONNECTION CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The County Connection Citizens Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the County Connection Board of Directors by reviewing and analyzing issues and policies relating to fixed-route and paratransit service. The position serves a two-year term and meets bi-monthly on the second Tuesday of every other month at 1 p.m. Additional information can be found on the County Connection Advisory Committee webpage.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE 

The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) reviews transportation issues pertaining to Contra Costa County, advising and providing recommendations to the CCTA Board. Among other transportation issues, the CAC assists the CCTA in reviewing the Biennial Growth Management Compliance checklists submitted by local jurisdictions. The position serves a four-year term and meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. Additional information can be found on the Contra Costa County Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Committee webpage.
