BMR Home Ownership Program Orientation

Four (4) units will soon be released as part of San Ramon's San Ramon’s Below Market Rate (BMR) Home Ownership lottery program. The deadline to enter the opportunity drawing lottery is Thursday, May 1 at 5 p.m. An orientation will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 6 p.m.

San Ramon Library to Re-Open on Mondays Beginning March 31

Beginning Monday, March 31, the San Ramon Library will re-open on Mondays, from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. These hours were previously reduced as part of budget-balancing measures for the 2024–25 fiscal year. With the passage of Measure N (a 1% local sales tax measure) in November 2024, additional revenue will offset the expenses associated with restoring these hours.

2025 ACI Rate Adjustment
01/14/2025
Waste collection rates went up 2.63 % beginning January 1, 2025. Most households have 35-gallon service, and currently pay $152.33 per quarter ($50.78 per month). Beginning January 1, the adjusted rate will be $156.34 for the same service, an increase of $4.01 per quarter ($52.11 per month).

2024 Municipal Election Results

The results of the November 5, 2024 General Election have been certified by the Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder. Mark H. Armstrong was elected the next Mayor of San Ramon, Robert Jweinat was elected the next City Council member from District 1, and Sridhar Verose was re-elected as the City Council member from District 3. San Ramon voters also approved Measure N, a ballot measure to adopt a 1% local sales tax.

City Council Adopts Budget for 2024/25 Fiscal Year

At the City Council Meeting on June 25, the San Ramon City Council adopted a balanced budget for the 2024/25 Fiscal Year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025). This budget closes a $17.6 million shortfall in revenue through several strategies, including $8.1 million in budget cuts across all departments, un-funding vacant staff positions, and increasing user fees for City services.

Summer Repaving of the Ironhorse Trail Begins Monday, June 10

Two sections of the Iron Horse Trail in San Ramon will be closed from June 10 to July 31, 2024 for pavement repairs. The affected areas are between Greenbrook Drive and Norris Canyon Road, and between Montevideo Drive and Alcosta Boulevard.

Aspenwood Senior Apartments: Now Accepting Applications
