On February 27, 2026, the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce and San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District hosted a San Ramon Valley Earthquake Swarm Town Hall at the San Ramon Community Center.
The event included presentations from Dr. Angie Lux, a seismologist and Project Scientist at the Berkeley Seismology Lab who specializes in earthquake early warning systems; Chief Jonas Aguiar from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District; Chief Becky Chestnut from the San Ramon Police Department; San Ramon Mayor Mark Armstrong; Danville Mayor Newell Arnerich; and Contra Costa County Supervisor Candace Andersen.
