City Permit Ready ADU Plans
The City of San Ramon provides permit-ready Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) plans, free-of-charge to San Ramon homeowners. The desgins include three (3) floor plans (1 bedroom/1 bathroom) with three (3) architectural styles (Craftsman, Mediterranean, Suburban Ranch) and range from 560 to 708 square feet.
The City Permit Ready ADU Plans include floor plans, elevations, electrical, and plumbing plans, structural calculations, and preliminary energy calculations that have been reviewed for compliance with all required building codes.
The homeowner is responsible for preparing and providing a valid site plan using the Site Plan Template, completing the required information on the provided Title Sheet, obtaining necessary construction permits, paying applicable permit fees, obtaining outside agency approvals (for example San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District, utility districts, etc.), building inspections, and obtaining a certificate of occupancy.
The City Permit-Ready ADU Plans cannot be revised and must be permitted as designed.
