Input Requested: Use of Contra Costa Community Impact Funds
Town Hall on Monday, September 15, 6–8 p.m.
Danville Community Center

Supervisor Candace Andersen invites the San Ramon community to an upcoming Town Hall meeting where she will be gathering input into how the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors should spend $1 million of “Community Impact Funds” in District 2, which includes the San Ramon Valley, Lamorinda, and part of Walnut Creek.
The source of the county’s Community Impact Fund goes back to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding Contra Costa County received during the pandemic. The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors chose not to spend all its ARPA dollars until the County was fully reimbursed by FEMA for COVID related expenses. The ARPA funding was held in reserve to cover those previously made expenditures, while the County awaited reimbursement.
Contra Costa County received the final reimbursements from FEMA for COVID response costs earlier this year. In June, the Board allocated $1 million per Supervisorial District ($5 million total) for community-driven initiatives which might include things like infrastructure (roads, streets, bridges, etc.); broadband/digital access; public transportation; affordable housing; public safety; childcare; health and wellness; senior services; parks and arts; food security; economic development; or youth services.
The Town Hall event nearest to San Ramon will be held on Monday, September 15 from 6–8 p.m. at the Danville Community Center (420 Front Street, Danville CA).
Residents can share their input by attending a Town Hall event, or through the survey link below.
