Budget Presentation on Expenditures and Capital Improvement Program (CIP)

The City of San Ramon has begun its annual budget process. This process will develop the City’s operating budget for Fiscal Year 2026/27 (FY27), which begins on July 1, 2026 and ends on June 30, 2027.
At the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 28, San Ramon's Budget Manager, Yuliya Elbo, provided information on expenditure projections for the FY27 Budget. The report and presentation:
- Reviewed the fiscal sustainability guidelines and balancing strategy
- Discussed the draft FY27 General Fund expenditures and transfers out
- Shared the projected reserve calculations for FY26 and FY27
- Presented information on the Dougherty Valley CSA and other funds draft FY27 budgets
- Updated Council on the City’s outstanding debt service
In the second half of the presentation, Jennifer Wakeman, the City’s Finance Director, reviewed significant changes to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) starting in FY27, shared the draft budget for Capital Improvement, and advised on the General Fund’s commitments to capital projects in FY27.

The next Budget Workshop will take place on Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m. as part of the regular City Council Meeting at San Ramon City Hall (7000 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon CA, 94583), with a review of the Preliminary FY27 Budget.
This meeting is open to the public and will include time for public comment.
The meeting will also be streamed live on the City's YouTube channel, and a recording will be available to watch afterward.
The agenda will be available 72 hours before the meeting at sanramon.ca.gov/meeting.

Illumination is a juried exhibition open to San Ramon residents of all ages. The exhibition explores the concept of light, both as a physical phenomenon and as a symbol of clarity, transformation, and revelation. See the artwork, meet the artists, and enjoy the awards ceremony at the art reception on Friday, May 8 from 6–8 p.m. at Dougherty Station Community Arts Center (address).
The exhibition continues through May 27 at Dougherty Station Community Arts Center. It is free and open to the public during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.).

San Ramon Symphonic Band Spring Concert: The Soundtrack of America

Celebrate 250 years of American history through music at the San Ramon Symphonic Band's spring concert, The Soundtrack of America. This inspiring program traces the nation’s journey from its revolutionary roots to the present day, weaving together patriotic hymns, stirring marches, jazz, swing, and iconic popular songs.
The performance takes place on Saturday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center (address) and is open to all ages. Tickets are $14.92 per person and can be purchased at the link below.
